Where are we?

From 23rd March 2002, Downpatrick Folk Music Club will host its world famous LIVE FOLK PERFORMANCES at The Avenue Bar, 16 St Patrick's Avenue, Downpatrick, just off the town's main shopping area, Market Street.

If you are coming from Belfast then simply take the A7 south from Belfast through Carryduff, Saintfield and Crossgar, drive into the centre of the town and turn right into Market Street at the staggered crossroads. Take the first left into St Patrick's Avenue and The Avenue Bar is about 50 metres up the street on your left-hand side.

If you are coming from Newcastle direction, take the Newcastle Road from Clough for about 6 miles. Approaching the centre of the town, after SUPERVALU and opposite XTRAVISION (on your left), take the first right into St Patrick's Avenue. The Avenue Bar is about 50 metres up the street on your left-hand side.

Parking is on street, or there are car parks nearby in Irish Street and beside the St Patrick's Heritage Centre - about a minute's walk away (see street map).
