The HOMESTEAD PICKERS
Duelling Banjos
and more .....

Saturday 16th March

Downpatrick Scout Hall

Get ready for the invasion of the HOMESTEAD PICKERS from Silver Dollar City, Missouri, USA. Looking like extra players from the film "Deliverance" come a clan of musicians from the Wild Frontier who leave their log cabins in the hills and descend on Downpatrick Scout Hall to entertain with great music, hilarious tales and strange farmyard animal impressions.

The band members Danny Eakin, Greg Bailey, Mike & Nancee Micham and Greg Becker (plus guests) play an amazing array of instruments, guitars, banjos, fiddles, hammer dulcimer and double bass as well as singing and keep the audience busy with their hillbilly antics and redneck humour.

A cross between The Waltons and The Keystone Cops, with their crazy antics and madcap music, a lively mix of bluegrass, gospel and old time country, they are an amazing experience.

Supported by SPECIAL GUEST, top Irish Harpist DEARBHAIL FINNEGAN, All Ireland Champion and winner of International Harp Competitions. Dearbhail has toured the world with her music and even played for the President at the White House.

What a way to bring in St Patrick's Day. Doors open at 8:00 pm. Be down early for a good seat.
